2. What is Presorting?

Presorting is Zip Code Order with divisions of the mailing for the different trays or bags.  Generally we do not do this because the USPS reports change whenever you mail a different quantity, different area or the mailing piece differs in size or weight.  Local mailing houses usually will take a CASS Certified list and then run it in their PAVE software for printing and presorting.

Telephone Numbers

6. Why is there no phone numbers in the mailing lists?

Our mailing lists are obtained from state boards and federal agencies.   Generally they do not release telephone numbers to the public.  One exception is the state of Colorado.

To add telephones to a mailing list, it must matched against a national database of addresses and telephone numbers.  The process is called "phone appending".   Because of the high incidence of non-matches from unlisted phone numbers, matches are approximately 20%.

The price varies by the company and discounts apply on large mailing lists.  There is a minimum "run-through" charge at around $200, and a matching charge is around $20 per thousand.

We use Anchor Computer www.anchorcomputer.com

Quotations

7. Can you give me a quotation based on a range?

In order to keep our prices low, we can only give out quotations of our mailing lists based on county.  The quotation can include cities within a county and/or Zip Codes within a county.    Also multiple categories can be requested.

Multiple Zip Codes and Zip Code range quotations are very time consuming especially when multiple categories are included.  To continue this practice, we would be forced to increase our prices or to charge extra for Zip Code Selections.

To deal with this problem, we have established a "self-service" website that can give you a quotation "online".  This data is updated monthly.
