1. What is Zip Code Canada?
Zip Code Canada contains 2 databases. One of the files has 30k + records with the City or Place, Province and Lat/Long. The Canadian Postal Code Database uses the FSA (first 3 characters) on all Metro Cities and the full Postal Code on Rural Towns. There are 5000+ records in this database with Lat/Long coordinates. 2. How do I match the data in Zip Code Canada with my data?
Zip Code Canada was designed for nearest dealer locators and for Postal Code to City matching. Zip Code Canada is fast because there is no redundant data. Since the lat / long is at a FSA / City level, there is no need to have the full postal code for matching purposes. The database you purchased will work for your purpose by first using matching the first 3 alpha numeric characters (FSA), then if there are no matches you search by the 5 alpha numeric characters. 3. Will you be updating the Latitude / Longitude coordinates to a FSA Level?
We are currently working on our options on updating Zip Code Canada’s lat/long to the FSA level. All data in Zip Code Canada is licensed and is derived from Canadian government sources. The Canadian government has not been able to provide us a FSA to Lat/Long database. However, they have provided us maps of all the FSA’s showing the street boundaries. It is possible to update the FSA’s to lat/long using a mapping program. The process will be very time consuming. If this is our only option, this update should be available within 3 months.

5. What is your policy on accuracy and returns?
Limit of Liability TPS Products & Services, Inc (TPS) provides databases for lawful purposes only and expressly forbids the use of TPS supplied databases in any unlawful manner. TPS shall not be liable for any damages or losses sustained by the purchaser through the use of any database. Further, TPS shall not be liable for any special or consequential damages and in no event shall TPS liability exceed the cost of the database. All data has been verified and recorded, but TPS cannot guarantee accuracy of the data. Returns & Refunds Files on disks, tapes and media retrieved via Internet will be replaced at no additional charge if file(s) and/or media are found to be defective within 30 days of date of purchase. 6. What is your user license?
User License The Zip Code Canada User License grants you the right to include the database in an application to all users in a single company. This license also allows the use of the Zip Code Canada Database for an application that is on a computer network. The application on the network must include in view to the user(s) that the data is derived from TPS Products and Services, Inc. All data must be protected and/or restricted so the "end-user" can not create a competitive product. The database can not be resold all or part.

7. What is the dealer license?
Developer License For a additional fee of 100% of the user license fee, you may incorporate any part of the Zip Code Canada database on an "unlimited basis" provided that the data is encrypted and the "end user" can not create a competitive product. The developer must include in their product that the data is derived from TPS Products and Services, Inc. NOTE: Licenses are valid only for non-competitive products. Developers license is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
